Coffee for hair-The amount of damage our hair undergoes every day is massive. Using some home remedies that use the coffee can lead to the resurrection of your damaged hair and give them back life.
Coffee and Coconut Oil Exfoliant

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds, & 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.
Method: Make a coarse scrub by mixing the coconut oil with the coffee grounds. After wetting your scalp, massage it with some of this scrub for 10 minutes. Wash your hair using your preferred shampoo. For best results, use this scrub twice a week.
This scrub is an excellent way to exfoliate your scalp, clean the hair follicles, and get rid of the product buildup in your scalp. The granular structure of the coffee grounds aids in exfoliation while the coconut oil nourishes the hair, leaving your hair clean, soft and lively.
Coffee for hair to maintain them
Ingredients: 1 cup of cold-pressed almond oil, & ½ cup of coffee grounds.
Method: Put coffee grounds in a jar full of almond oil and let it remain as it is for 3-4 days. After 3-4 days, strain the oil to separate the coffee grounds and apply the oil to your hair. Let the oil stay in your hair for a good three hours and then, wash it off with shampoo. Take a jar and add the coffee grounds to it.
This almond oil contains the infused goodness of coffee grounds and helps in maintaining the hair health by nourishing and moisturizing it. This also means that the oil contains anti-oxidants which detoxify the air and the caffeine in it freshens the scalp. This infused oil also removes the dampness from your hair, checks hair fall, and stops premature greying.
Coffee and Henna Powder
Ingredients: 1 cup of henna powder, one tablespoon of gooseberry (amla) powder, three tablespoons of coffee grounds, and 1 cup of water.
Method: Brew the coffee by adding the coffee ground to one cup of water and heating this till it starts to boil. Strain the mixture to separate the coffee grounds and add henna powder and amla powder in the liquid to make a paste. Take care of the amount of coffee you are using so that the paste stays thick and smooth. Dividing your hair into sections, apply this paste and leave it on for 3-4 hours. Rinse it off using water and then shampoo your hair. For best results, use this paste twice a month.
Henna is known for its natural dyeing properties. The addition of coffee to this hair mask gives a brown tint to your hair will the amla powder in it nourishes your hair.
Coffee and Honey Hair Mask
Ingredients: 1 cup of brewed coffee, & a ½ cup of honey.
Method: Add honey to the previously brewed coffee and then apply this mixture to your hair. Leave it for 30 minutes to let your hair absorb the liquid and then use shampoo to wash it off. For best results, use this once a week.
The use of honey in this hair serum revives your hair and, deep conditions it. Due to the presence of hydrogen peroxide in honey, it gives a brown tint to the hair, and the addition of coffee boosts this color.
Coffee and Aloe Vera Gel Leave-In Conditioner
Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of your regular hair conditioner, one teaspoon of coconut oil, 2-3 tablespoons of brewed coffee, & 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel.
Method: Mix 1 teaspoon of your regular hair conditioner, one teaspoon of coconut oil, 2-3 tablespoons of brewed coffee, & 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel together to make this leave-in conditioner. Apply this mixture to your hair ends after shampooing. For best results, use this leave-in conditioner after every hair wash.
This leave-in conditioner gives you lustrous hair courtesy the anti-oxidants present in coffee. Coconut hair oil moisturizes your hair while the aloe vera gel reduces the frizz.
